NE Webcomics Weekend: Drats

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

So there’s this pretty cool event going down in Massachusetts called The New England Webcomics Weekend, which features a long and constantly changing list of webcomic artists that we don’t really read… but it would be nice to go on principle. While the organizers of said weekend were awesome enough to plan the event only a few hours away from both of our schools, they did stick it right in the middle of our spring breaks, when there will be a whole lot of America between Massachusetts and us. Sadly, we are not nearly devoted enough to attend. However, anybody in the area should at least give their guest list a once-over. Could be fun.

To Diggers and Redditors

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Good news: Following our recent successes on Reddit, we’ve finally broken through on Digg!
Bad news: We almost didn’t know about it because we’ve been receiving little extra traffic (about as many visits from digg as we received diggs — we know we’re not that funny)

OMG BUT DIGG HAS LIEK A M1LLION READERZ HOW ARE U NOT FAMOU$ ALREADY??!?!111

That’s a poorly expressed question, and much of the answer has to do with the fact that we’re just a pair of freshmen in college who like to make comics in their spare time. However, it doesn’t help that posters post uncredited mirrors of our comics in order to avoid stressing out the servers. Not all posters are as understanding as digg’s d2002, who credited us in his post and left a link to our website (thanks again, d2002).  So we’re writing this post to say: if you’re posting our comics somewhere, please either link straight to our site, which is usually more appreciated by the reader as well, or at least leave a link and attribution in your comments.  As a matter of fact, we’ve yet to have our server crash, so we’d almost like to stress test this sucker with some direct links.

Assuming we make any more funny comics ever again, that is.
